4 Signs That You're Info Dumping

1. Read what you’ve written out loud. If you’re bored then it’s possible that you’re reading an info dump.

2. Has the conflict in the story come to a halt because you spent a couple paragraphs explaining something to the reader? You might be info dumping if the answer to this question is yes.

3. If you were invited to read your work in a public setting would you not read a certain passage because not much really happens? That might be an info dump.

4. Are two characters telling each other things that they’ve known for a while? If yes that might be an info dump.
