UFC Vegas 25 medical suspensions

UFC Vegas 25 produced one of the greatest KOs of the year, despite being one of only two on the card. A Myriad of decisions meant few finishes and coincidentally a lack of injuries. The resulting damage is shown in a list provided by the Nevada state athletic commision to www.mixermartialarts.com .

Dominick Reyes, Ion Cutelaba, Luana Pinheiro, and Andreas Michailidis all received lengthy six month medical suspensions for their injuries or suspected injuries requiring medical clearance.

Reyes was the lone fighter receiveing medical attention saturday night. Upon X-Rays, fractures were found in his nose(nasal bone), his right orbital bone(right displaced orbital medial wall), and a broken left cheekbone(displaced left orbital zygomatic arch fracture).

Cutelaba is expected to have an x-ray of his nose before being cleared, if positive he faces a six month medical suspenion or clearance from an orthopedic doctor.

Pinheiro must have her severe gash(avulsion) analyzed by an orthopedic doctor between her middle finger and ring finger.

Michailidis is required to get an x-ray of his left hand, if positive he faces the same lengthy suspension or requires clearnce from an orthopedic doctor.

Most fighters were suspended until 6/1/2021 or earlier. The list inlcudes:

• Cub Swanson - suspended until 6/1/21, no contact until 5/23/21

• Dustin Jacoby - suspended 6/1/21, no contact until 5/23/21 due to nose laceration

• Krzysztof Jotko - suspended until 6/1/21, no contact until 5/23/21 due to facial contussion

• Merab Dvalishvili - suspended until5/23/21, no contact until 5/16/21

• Cody Stamann - suspended until 5/23/21, no contact until 5/16/21

• Randa Markos - suspended until 6/1/21, no contact until 5/23/21 due to left eyelid laceration

• TJ Brown - suspended until 6/1/21, no contact until 5/23/21

• Kai Kamaka III - suspended until 6/1/21, no contact until 5/23/21, right ear hematoma needs to be drained

• Luana Carolina - suspended until 6/1/21, no contact until 5/23/21 due to right eye laceration

• KB Bhullar - suspended until 5/23/21, no contact until 5/16/21

• Felipe Corales - suspended until 6/1/21, no contact until 5/23/21 due to right rib pain

• Luke Sanders - suspended until 6/1/21, no contact until 5/23/21 due to left elbow laceration
