Leon Edwards vs Nate Diaz bout moved to June 12th at UFC 263
Nate Diaz has suffered a minor unspecified injury, which has forced the UFC to postpone his highly anticipated fight against Leon Edwards until June 12. This bout was originally supposed to take place at UFC 262 on May 15.
Nate Diaz (20-12) vs Leon Edwards (18-3, 1 NC) will still be a five round welterweight bout. UFC 263 will be taking place at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
Edwards, 29, has not lost a fight since his 2015 matchup against the current welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. Edwards last fight was against Belal Muhammad in a bout that was deemed a no contest after Edwards poked Belal in the eye during the second round. Edwards managed to put together an 8 fight win streak before the no contest happened.
Diaz, 36, has not been seen in the octagon since his “BMF” title loss against Jorge Masvidal back in November of 2019. Nate Diaz is without a doubt one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster and fans are excited to see him get back in the cage doing what he does best.
The UFC 263 lineup currently includes:

Deiveson Figueiredo vs Brandon Moreno for the UFC flyweight championship
