What are Neutrons?

Neutrons are neutrally charged particles that are found in the nucleus of atoms and consist of three quarks. A particular element can have variants called isotopes with a different number of neutrons in the nucleus. Neutrons are subatomic particles it is a part of every atomic nucleus except for ordinary hydrogen. The key to determining the number of neutrons in an atom Is by subtracting the number of protons from the mass number. Neutrons are do not have the ability to exist normally on their own.
