Brendan Gallagher fined $2500 for Roughing

Brendan Gallagher a forward who plays for the Montreal Canadiens NHL team has been fined $2500 for roughing New York Rangers forward Barclay Goodrow.

The incident took place during the final seconds of the Canadiens 2-3 loss against the Rangers in their game last Wednesday. After some words took place before a face-off, Gallagher decided to push Goodrow in the face. Gallagher received a 2 minute penalty and a 10 minute misconduct for his actions.

The $2500 fine shouldn’t effect Gallagher too much financially consider the Canadiens are paying him a whopping $6,500,000 this year. When addressing the the media Gallagher down played the situation and claimed Goodrow was putting on a performance for the referees.
