Two Coaches at Sanford MMA Punished for Breaking Covid-19 Protocols

Greg Jones and Henri Hooft, coaches at Sanford MMA, were suspended and fined for breaking Covid-19 protocols.

Both coaches broke their quarantine to help Jason Jackson train for his Bellator 253 bout against Benson Henderson. Hooft and Jones, were both fined $500 and suspended 3 month for their involvement in the hotel room training session. The fines issued to the coaches will be taken out of Jason Jackson’s purse.

The suspension is for three months at the Mohegan Sun, but it is not known if all the other commissions will honour the suspension. Hooft is Gilbert Burns head coach who has an upcoming title fight against Kamaru Usman on February 13th. Hopefully, this suspension won’t impact the highly anticipated title fight.

The commission also made it clear that punishments will be more severe if Jones and Hooft are caught breaking protocols again.
