The UFC Has Signed Dean Barry
Multiple time kickboxing champion and Irish MMA prospect Dean Barry has been signed by the UFC. SuckerPunch Entertainment, which is Barry’s management team announced the signing on Instagram earlier in the week.
Dean Barry made the switch over to MMA back in 2017 by getting a first round TKO victory over Thomas Thatcher at a Shamrock FC show. So far Barry is 3-1-0 in MMA and is coming off a spectacular first round KO finish against Abdulla Al Bousheiri at UAE Warriors 13 back in September. He’s currently training Owen Roddy at Straight Blast Gym Charleston who is well known for training the infamous Conor McGregor.
It’s not currently known what weight class he’ll be fighting at, but his most recent bouts have been at lightweight. These recent fights at lightweight makes it safe for us to assume he’ll fight at 155. At 28 years old Barry is looking to make waves in the UFC and prove himself to be a legitimate contender.
