PFL's 2021 Heavyweight Roster
PFL has an amazing group of heavyweights who are all ready to clash in the 2021 season. Here’s an overview of some of the wonderful talent PFL has put together for us this year:
Bruno Cappelozza (10-5-0): The 31 year old fighter is 6’2” in height and is from Jau, Sao Paulo, Brazil. All ten of his wins have been knockout victories and he is the former Jungle Fight Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion.
Ante Delija (17-3-0): The 30 year old fighter is 6’5” in height, has a 79” arm reach, a 41” leg reach, and is from Zagreb Croatia. Ante has 13 stoppage victories in his career and is a protege of MMA legend Mirko Cro Cop.
Renan Ferreira (6-2-0): The 31 year old fighter is 6’8” in height, has a 85” arm reach, and is from Porangatu, Brazil. Renan has obtain all his victories by stoppage and is the tallest fighter in the division.
Denis Goltsov (25-6-0): The 30 year old fighter is 6’5” in height, has a 78” arm reach, a 43” leg reach, and is from St. Petersburg, Russia. The combat sambo world champion was a 2019 PFL semifinalist after earning the number 1 seed in the playoffs with a first round TKO and a second round submission. Denis is also the first PFL fighter to secure an Ezekiel Choke in the PFL cage.
Ali Isaev (9-0-0): The 37 year old fighter is 6’3” in height, has a 78” arm reach, a 40” leg reach, and is from Dagestan, Russia. He is the 2019 PFL Heavyweight World Champion and scored an epic last second knockout over number 1 seed and semifinalist Denis Goltsov.
Hatef Moeil (10-4-0): The 34 year old fighter is 6’3” in height, has a 78” arm reach, and is from Dusseldorf, Germany. Hatef has 8 career knockouts and is entering PFL while riding a 6 fight winning streak.
Brandon Sayles (5-1-0): The 39 year old fighter is 6’5” in height, and is from Hilo, Hawaii. Brandon has a 100% finish rate with 3 knockouts and 2 submissions.
Mohammed Usman (7-1-0): The 31 year old fighter is 6’2” in height, has a 73” arm reach, and is from Auchi, Nigeria. Usman is on a 4 fight winning streak and 5 of his 7 wins come by stoppage. Usman is also the younger brother of UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman.
Fabricio Werdum (24-9-1): The 43 year old fighter is 6’4” in height and is from Porto Alegre, Brazil. The former UFC Heavyweight Champion has wins over big names in MMA like Alistair Overeem, Fedor Emilianenko, Cain Velasquez, Mark Hunt, and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Werdum is also an ADCC World Champion and 12 of his 24 wins have come by submission.
Justin Willis (8-2-0): The 33 year old fighter is 6’1” in height, has a 79” arm reach, and is from East Palo Alto, California. Willis has a 4-1 record in the UFC and was on an 8 fight win streak before being defeated by Curtis Blaydes. Also, 4 of his 8 wins have came by knockout.
The PFL season starts April 23rd and is being hosted in the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
