Darren Till Forced to Withdraw From Fight Due to Injury

Darren Till, former challenger for the UFC Welterweight Championship, has suffered an undisclosed injury and is unable to compete in his scheduled middleweight bout against Jack Hermansson. The two fighters were scheduled to fight on July 23, in the co-main event of the UFC Fight Night 208 card in London, England.

This is not the first time that Darren Till has pulled out of a fight against Jack Hermansson. The two fighters were previously scheduled to fight in December of 2020, but Till withdrew from that fight due to injury as well.

However, the UFC’s website currently says Jack Hermansson will be fighting Chris Curtis at UFC Fight Night 208. No formal announcement has been made, but it appears as if it didn’t take long to find Hermansson a new opponent.

Chris Curtis(29-8-0) is currently riding a 7 fight win streak, with his most recent win taking place on June 25, 2022 against Rodolfo Vieira.

Jack Hermansson is currently on a 2 loss streak, with his most recent defeat taking place on February 5, 2022 against Sean Strickland.

The UFC Fight Night 208 line up now that this change has happened is listed as follows on the UFC’s official website:

  • Curtis Blaydes (16-3-0) vs Tom Aspinall (12-2-0)

  • Jack Hermansson (22-7-0) vs Chris Curtis (29-8-0)
